The London-based “dark pop” outfit, Scanners, will release the album Submarine, produced by Stephen Hague (New Order), February 16, 2010 on Dim Mak.
The first single, “Salvation” perfectly illustrates the band’s penchant for the eerie and mysterious. When vocalist, Sarah Daly, repeatedly sing-shouts, “I’ll take you to my grave!” I feel like I might be sucked into my computer screen a la poor Carol Anne in Poltergeist. But I like it.
