And I should say I keep your picture with me every day
The evenings now are relatively easy
Here with you there's always something to look forward to
My lonely heart beats relatively easy

Tonight at Off Broadway (6/19) should be special as Jason Isbell returns to St. Louis with American Aquarium. Show starts 8:30, and doors are at 7:30. We suggest buying tickets ($17-23) now to avoid problems at the door. Because no one likes problems at the door.

Isbell recently released his best album, Southeastern, which we reviewed here. Today, we take it one step further and unveil what we believe to be his best 11 songs (solo + Drive-By Truckers). Stream away, and see you at Off Broadway!

  1. Don't overlook Dress Blues and The Day John Henry Died. Outfit is still his greatest sample of writing and belongs at the top.

  2. I love "Never Gonna Change" live, especially when they break into "Stone Free" by Jimi Hendrix in the middle. These guys have played close to a thousand shows together and are tight as a drum.
