LouFest starts today in St. Louis

Daylight come
Daylight go
How far will it reach
Ain’t nobody know

LouFest begins today in St. Louis with local favorites Kentucky Knife Fight kicking things off on the BMI stage. From there, you’ll have plenty of choices like Ra Ra Riot, The National, Wilco, and the guy who we’re featuring today: Jim James of My Morning Jacket.

James released Regions of Light and Sound of God earlier this year, and you’ll be certain to hear pretty much the whole thing live tonight at 7:30 to 8:30 on the Forest Park Stage. One of our favorites, “State of the Art (A.E.I.O.U.),” is below.

Have fun today, and remember, if you’re asking yourself, “Can I walk up and buy tickets?” We’re pretty sure the answer is yes. Just show up. For the quality of music LouFest has to offer this year, we’re all getting a bargain.
