We'll all be together
Even when we're not together
With our arms around each other
With our faith still in each other
I've got calling cards from twenty years ago
Before Neko Case regularly started playing The Pageant in St. Louis, which she'll once again do this Sunday, October 20th, we watched her sing at Off Broadway, sometimes with our legs crossed, sitting on the floor. That really happened, but that is not today.
Today, Case is a star, and all the accolades are well-earned. Her new album has a tongue-twisting title: The Worse Things Get, The Harder I Fight, The Harder I Fight, The More I Love You. It's a moving listen, with songs like "Nearly Midnight, Honolulu," "Where Did I Leave That Fire," "Night Still Comes," and "Calling Cards" leading the way. Let's have a listen.
We have TWO pairs of tickets to give away to Neko Case's upcoming performance at The Pageant on 10/20. To enter the contest, please do ONE of the following:
1. Simply copy and paste this into a tweet: I entered to win 2 tickets to @NekoCase on 10/20 at @thepageantstl on @speakersincode.
2. Leave us a message on our Facebook page. (Leaving on comment on our original post is fine.)
The contest will run through October 18th at 5PM CST, and we'll randomly pick and contact the winner later that evening (if you enter through FB, we'll announce your name on our FB page). Good luck!
