What IS Forecastle??? This video should help.
This year's lineup is headlined by The Avett Brothers (Friday), Alabama Shakes (Saturday), and Ryan Adams (Sunday). The schedule offers many options, as all festivals do. Here are few sets -- not including aforementioned headliners (you know we love them) -- we have our eyes on.
They'll release Big Mess on September 9th, and they'll unleash a wave of energy on the Forecastle stage. Whether you like their catchy hooks or not, you'll have fun at their live show, which fits in perfectly with almost every festival out there.
Bully and Twin Peaks were the surprises for me at Bonnaroo, because of their ferocity and confidence. Clearly, Bully is on the rise, and front woman Alicia Bognanno is a rock star.
Come out early on Saturday and you're in for a treat. One of St. Louis' best, Pokey LaFarge, is the perfect artist to start things off, or close things down. It just so happens the former is happening this weekend.
I've never seen Danny Brown perform, but I'm guessing it's wild and that he doesn't even stop for gas.
There's a new album around the corner, and if it's anything like the last, you'll be sure to see them all over the festival circuit in 2017. A fine, fine band.
She wrote our favorite song of 2015, "The Eye." Her live show is an emotional and powerful roller coaster. It's also a masterpiece. Brandi Carlile, hands down, is one of my favorite artists of the last 10 years. See her.
