The Kissaway Trail Is Back with ‘Sleep Mountain’

The five-piece band, The Kissaway Trail, will release Sleep Mountain, its second full-length album (and first in the States) on April 6, 2010 on Bella Union.  It’s produced by Peter Katis (The National, Interpol), so hot damn! Coming in at 12 tracks, 11 originals and a cover of Neil Young’s “Philadelphia” from the 1993 Jonathan Demme film of the same name, the boys offer up “SDP” as an introduction to what they are calling a “contemporary, timeless, and vulnerable rock album.”

Indeed.  The anthemic “SDP” soars, and every time I listen, I feel like it’s taking me with it.

The Kissaway Trail marks its return to the U.S. with a performance at this year’s SXSW.  Can’t get to Austin?  Watch below.
