A Speakers Endorsed Show | Homegrown at The Pageant

We had a blast at the last Homegrown Showcase (starring Airplanes, Bruiser Queen, The Blind Eyes, and Tilts) held at The Pageant back in October, so we’re psyched that another edition is coming our way this Friday, December 3rd. This time ’round, Theodore, Union Tree Review, HUMDRUM, and Animal Empty will take the stage to provide its audience with some yummy, local goodness. Won’t you please grace them with your presence? Doors at 7 PM, and the show starts at 8 PM!

Most of us aren’t used to seeing these bands in a setting like The Pageant, but speaking from experience, it’s a fantastic way to let our Saint Louis artists shine. Furthermore, SIC fave, Union Tree Review, notes that this will be the band’s last 2010 show before it takes a brief hiatus to spend time in the recording studio this winter (which means a big score in the near future for fans). The bands have also been hard at work designing set decorations to really make the night as artsy-fartsy and memorable as possible. As if you need more gentle nudging, Union Tree Review and HUMDRUM are releasing a split 7″ (featuring some previously unreleased songs) available as a download Friday night to the first 100 people through the door. Cherry on top!

As a parting gift and blatant bribe to attend this Friday’s show, please accept this MP3 of Union Tree Review’s former Pajammy Jam of the Day, the gorgeous, “Let Me In.” See you there!
