Stop the goddamn presses. Recall all the best-of-lists that I’ve submitted to various media outlets! Abort! Abort – because I finally got around to listening to Night Moves‘ debut LP Colored Emotions, and it’s just about the best thing I’ve heard from the Twin Cities since Prince hung up his assless purple pants and became a Jehovah’s Witness.
Seriously y’all, give our Jam of the Day, “Country Queen,” a listen. It’s right up our collective alley – and should be right up near the top of our, and every, 2012 song list out there. Hopefully we can squeeze it in. And to the song that potentially gets bumped – sorry. This shit is just too damn good.
