Steve Earle once told this to a journalist:
“I don’t want to hurt your feelings, but I’m not going to read this piece you are going to write. I don’t read my press. I don’t think it’s healthy. You are going to get your feelings hurt because you are putting yourself out there. And the way I do it, there’s no way not to take it personally.”
And today, I shall ask this question: Is there another living artist out there as honest as Steve Earle?
