Concert Photos + Words | Noah and the Whale + Dots Not Feathers at The Pageant in St. Louis

All photos by Tim Bottchen

Noah and the Whale delivered a wonderful set on Thursday night at The Pageant, playing songs from their entire catalog, including their latest album, Heart of Nowhere. The pinnacle revealed itself at the end during “The First Days of Spring,” the single encore. It built from the opening dramatic strings, and ended with thunder after lead singer Charlie Fink sang, “If I’m still here hoping that one day you may come back.” A near-perfect conclusion.

St. Louis band Dots Not Feathers opened the show, filling in for the injured LP. Their set included a cover of The Cranberries’ “Dreams,” and band leader Stephen Baier looked calm and comfortable for his first time on The Pageant’s stage. A job well done.

Speakers in Code photographer Tim Bottchen was on hand for the show and came back with these fabulous photos. Please enjoy, and visit his site here.
