The first leg of the Honda Civic Tour is rolling through the U.S., and two of its featured headliners are alt-rock heavyweights: Grouplove and Portugal. The Man — bands who recently played Lollapalooza in Chicago and are also set to play LouFest in St. Louis (9/6 & 9/7; tickets here).
Fans of either band might know that visual art plays a huge key in their creative ensemble. Both Hannah Hooper (Grouplove) and John Gourley (Portugal. The Man) remain serious visual artists, and for each tour stop on the Honda Civic Tour, a Pop-Up Art Gallery will be on display featuring their beautiful work. A piece called “Lil Homie,” which will be available as a limited-edition premium print, leads this post; fans can purchase prints here.
