Norah Jones Gets R-R-R-Remixed!

The November 2009 release of Norah Jones’s The Fall proclaimed a departure from her signature mellow/jazz/fun for the whole family sound. Instead, she tapped into her inner supply of rock ‘n’ roll, grabbed a new bunch of collaborators including Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse), Will Sheff (Okkervil River), and Ryan Adams (hip, hip, hooray…he’s, like, making music), and got down with her bad self.  The iTunes deluxe edition of The Fall featured this very moving cover of Wilco’s “Jesus, Etc.”

Even though The Fall was subject to mixed reviews, the album obviously gathered attention from a handful of big name artists.  Tomorrow, Blue Note will release the Chasing Pirates Remix EP digitally and on vinyl.  It includes the original version of “Chasing Pirates” and the non-album track, “That’s What I Said,” plus three remixes featuring Santigold, two-thirds of the Beastie Boys, and Beck at the helm.

Tracklist:
1. “Chasing Pirates” – Santigold and Snotty Remix
2. “Chasing Pirates” – Droogs Remix
3. “Chasing Pirates”
4. “That’s What I Said-The NYC Remix” by Adrock and Mike D
5. “That’s What I Said”
