It’s time for another Austin City Limits Music Festival, and we’re proud to say that you will be able to view the ACL Live Stream right here on Speakers in Code. Once we have the link to do so, we will let you know.

In the meantime, here are our most anticipated sets of the ACL Weekend 1. Hope you get to see some of them!

FRIDAY

MEG MYERS // 12:15 Samsung Stage

She released Sorry, her debut full-length, earlier this month, and I loved it. Every time I’ve seen her perform, it’s left me wanting more, which is what live music should do. She’s one of the first performers on the first day of ACL, and you’ll be wise to spring through those gates to catch her.

LEON BRIDGES // 4:00 Honda Stage

The new king of soul? The way it’s going for Leon Bridges, I don’t think that’s hyperbole. Get to the Honda Stage early to hear his smooth howl.

SATURDAY

RYN WEAVER // 1:30 HomeAway Stage

Her debut The Fool is one of my favorite releases this year, and every time I get to “Traveling Song,” it’s basically what I’m listening to for the next 30 minutes. She was absolutely electric at Lollapalooza in August, so don’t miss her.

HOUNDMOUTH // 3:30 Austin Ventures Stage

From New Albany, Indiana, right across the Ohio River from Louisville, I anticipate them to have one of the most talked-about sets of ACL. Because if it’s anything like the one I saw at Forecastle in July, the praise will be deafening.

SUNDAY

BØRNS // 2:30 Honda Stage

I can’t stop listening and singing to “The Emotion,” so that’s all it takes for me. Get ready for BØRNS to own Sunday afternoon in Austin.

MUDDY MAGNOLIAS // 6:30 BMI Stage

If you’re going to name a song “American Woman,” and if that song is not a cover, it better be a damn good song. And it is. Oh yes it is.
