The new single from SIC faves, JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound, “Everything Will Be Fine.” The band caught fire after officially releasing its version of the Wilco mainstay, “I Am Trying to Break Your Heart,” and it’s never looked back. Growing what seems to be a Little Richard-esque pompadour, lead singer Brooks has gained the last one-eighth of confidence he really needed to cement his role as frontman of best guarantee to get your party started.
The Chicago band will roll through Saint Louis on December 10th, playing its clear venue of choice, and one of our favorites, Off Broadway. That’s a Saturday, honey. Get out and shake it.
