We’re two lines in, and Dallas Green, aka City and Colour, has me wanting more.
It’s the words, sure, but it’s also the way he sings them: like he’s lived them. This is important, and as a listener, I will never take it for granted. So many times I read how musicians are lauded because they “don’t take themselves seriously.”
And pardon me, but I’ll be serious: What in the hell does that mean?
